Sahnawi: I delivered on my promises to the Lebanese

Telecommunication Minister Nicolas Sahnawi said on Thursday that he delivered on the promises he made to the Lebanese, adding that as of next week, the possibility to subscribe to the internet will be open to all of those wishing to benefit from this service.

Following his visit to Bishop Boulos Matar, Sahnawi stressed that the ministry is currently negotiating with two companies to radically improve the conditions. Sahnawi said that he will present the cabinet with all possible options, including the possibility to launch new bidding offers, renew the terms of the two existing carriers or renationalize them.

Speaking on the current negotiations regarding the wage hike, Sahnawi said that the Shura Council and officials have put a framework for negotiations between social partners.
