Foreign Ministry says no Lebanese nationals on board Malaysian plane that crashed in Ukraine
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry stressed Saturday that the two persons identified as Maree and Albert Rizk, who were on board the Malaysian plane that crashed in Ukraine, are not Lebanese nationals, noting that they hold the Australian and the Egyptian citizenships.

The ministry issued the statement after receiving the detailed list of the said plane’s passengers and after contacting the Lebanese Consulate in Australia.

Accordingly, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry stressed that it is contacting all consulates and embassies of the countries concerned with the tragedy, in order to make sure that there are no Lebanese nationals among the victims.

In this regard, the ministry condemned all terrorist acts committed under any circumstance, regretting the fact that innocent people of all nationalities are falling victims of regional conflicts.
