Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya MP Imad al-Hout stressed Tuesday that all the parties call for protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty, which was violated in Arsal, noting that the Lebanese army is an essential component of the country's sovereignty.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, al-Hout pointed out that the delegation of Muslim Scholars carried out its initiative in coordination with the Lebanese army, in a bid to push the armed men into leaving the town and releasing missing soldiers.
“The real problem lies in the fact that the Lebanese army is paying the price of the negligence practiced by the Lebanese politicians, who failed to reach a unified stance over Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syrian conflict,” he states.
