Beirut water meets safe drinking guidelines -statement

The Water Authority of Beirut and Mount Lebanon tested water for toxins during May and June and said the water is safe and free of germs.

In a statement, the authority said chemical tests prove that the water does not pose a threat to the health of citizens, noting that it is drinking water that meets international standards.
