MP Nadim Gemayel: Christians of the Middle East are in danger
A celebration marking the 32rd anniversary of the election of Bashir Gemayel as president of the republic was held on Saturday in Bikfaya.

During the ceremony, MP Nadim Gemayel noted that the Christians in the Middle East region are " in danger," noting to the need to returning all issues "to their right track."

Gemayel also stressed the importance of the economic, political and educational role of the Christians in the region.

Islamic State fighters have gained control of land across Syria and is now fighting Kurdish pershmergas in northern Iraq after forcing thousands of Iraqi ethnic minorities to flee.

Entire communities have been massacred and crucifixions, public stonings and beheadings have been used to terrorize people in Syria as the the Yazidis and Christians were in northern Iraq over the last few weeks.
