Nizam Mougheit, brother of kidnapped Adjutant Ibrahim Mougheit, stressed their rejection to the politicization of the case of the abducted troops.
Speaking from a protesters’ tent set up in the region of al-Qalamoun, Mougheit told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that the families of the abducted soldiers are cooperating with one another to stage sit-ins and cut off roads, denying reports of internal disputes.
For his part, spokesperson of the committee of the families of the kidnapped troops, Sheikh Omar Haydar, said that the cabinet remained silent over several matters, while it was supposed to reveal information in order to reassure the protesters.
In turn, Mahmoud Khodor, brother of the abducted soldier Yahya Khodor, stressed that the movements staged are of a humanitarian nature.
“The war on terrorism does not concern us, all we are asking for is the safe release of kidnapped troops,” he stated.
