MP Frangieh: US-Led coalition airstrikes coordinated with Syrian authorities

Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Frangieh said on Wednesday that the US-led coalition airstrikes against the jihadists in Syria were coordinated with the Syrian regime and President Bachar al-Assad.

“Talk about direct or indirect coordination doesn’t matter. What's important is that coordination did take place with the Syrian authorities,” he said.

Frangieh noted that Syria was not "alone in facing danger."

“They did everything they could against the Syrian regime and failed,” Frangieh said, in reference to Western powers.

He said Syria was one of the "countries most immune to terrorist threats."
