Nharkom Saiid: Skaff and Marouni lock horns over accusations

Former minister Elias Skaff told Nharkom Saiid TV show that the absence of MP Elie Marouni from the Saydet el-Najet meeting in Zahleh, organized by Bishop Issam Darwish, is purely political.

Skaff said that Marouni is using the martyrdom of his brother Nasri to stir emotions, adding that this matter has nothing to do with his absence from the meeting.

On the other hand, MP Elie Marouni told Nharkom Saiid that he endorses Bishop Darwish’s initiative, adding that MP Joseph Maalouf will sign the statement issued following the meeting on his behalf.

Marouni voiced surprise that Skaff did not issue any statement to condemn the assassination of his brother Nasri Marouni.
