Minister Azzi to LBCI: Work of civil society activists must remain away from politics
Minister of Labor Sejaan Azzi hailed on Wednesday the efforts exerted by the civil society activists in their attempt to prevent the extension of the parliament's mandate. Minister Azzi also noted that the work of the civil society activists must remain away from politics.

Azzi's comments were made during a phone call with LBCI's Nahrkom Said TV show whereby he reiterated that the Kataeb party's top priority is to elect a new president.

Earlier, dozens of protesters waving Lebanese flags and holding signs describing Lebanese lawmakers as "thieves" gathered near Martyrs Square in downtown Beirut to denounce the proposed extension of the parliament's mandate.
