Lebanon's army arrests two terrorist ringleaders in the North
The Army Command- Orientation Directorate said the Lebanese Army Intelligence arrested two terrorist leaders involved in attacks against the military during clashes that flared up in the country's northern regions last month.

"The Army Intelligence arrested on Wednesday Ayman Abdul Hamid Mheish who was leading a terrorist group that was involved in a plot to kidnap Lebanese soldiers in the town of Bhannine on October 25," the Army Command said in a statement.

"The same group fired a grenade at a military vehicle, leaving several soldiers wounded," the communique said.

Also on Wednesday, the army detained Ousama Yehya Bakhash who led a terrorist group that ambushed a military vehicle in Bhannine on October 26.

"Four soldiers were killed while Bakhash was injured," the statement said, adding that the group affiliated with the terrorist managed to escape.

Investigations with the detainees have been launched and efforts are still being exerted to arrest other fugitive terrorists.
