Army arrests fugitive involved in shooting attack against soldiers

The Lebanese Armed Forces raided on Friday the houses of fugitives in the Akkar town of Bhannine and arrested Ali Hussein Akkouch for being involved in a shooting attack against soldiers, the Army Command said in a statement.

In the Bekaa region of Anjar, the army also detained 11 Syrian nationals for being inside the Lebanese territories without identification papers.

"The detainees were thus referred to the concerned authorities," the statement added.
