Ep6: KAFA's Zalfa says...

As part of our effort to shed light on women's rights in Lebanon, LBCI will be broadcasting a 30 second segment on the nightly news bulletin over a span of 16 days.

Zalfa, a character created by KAFA (Enough Violence & Exploitation), will be explaining the inner workings of the law against domestic violence in a bid to raise awareness on law 293.

In tonight's segment Zalfa says:

Why do they arrest the aggressor for 48 hours?

As we said before, the restraining order you request from the interim relief judge will be issued within 48 hours after which the aggressor would be forced outside the home for over two days.

Who is the interim relief judge?

There should be an interim relief judge in every district, but unfortunately, this judge is not always available in office.

What is the restraining order and what does it entail?

Watch us tomorrow for further clarifications on the law against domestic violence.
