Future bloc MP Houry says parties to dialogue aim to ease tension

Future bloc MP Ammar Houry said everyone would be reassured if the Lebanese state restores its authority, noting that the dialogue being held between Hezbollah and the Future Movement contributes to "a better atmosphere" but does not go into details.

“Both parties to the dialogue aim to ease tension and safeguard the presidential post,” MP Houry said in a phone call with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV Show on Friday.

He added that his party reiterates its rejection to Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syrian war and insists that the Lebanese state shall be the sole authority on the ground.
