The Dar al-Fatwa at the Lebanese Republic issued a statement on Friday, whereby it offered condolences on the death of the Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud.
In this regard, the Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdel Latif Darian declared three-day mourning, where the Dar al-Fatwa institutions will be closed and prayers will be held at all mosques across Lebanon.
For his part, Prime Minister Tammam Salam said that with the death of the Saudi King Abdullah, Lebanon lost one main supporter who stood by the country during the difficult crises, noting that the deceased never hesitated in helping the Lebanese reach national unity and maintain security and stability.
In turn, Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri called on the Lebanese people to mourn the Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz in all the regions, in a show of loyalty to the deceased king “who had always supported Lebanon in the most difficult situations.”
