CEO's of Lebanese TV stations, PM Salam hold talks over concerns and challenges

A meeting was held on Monday between CEOs of Lebanese television channels and Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail.

During the meeting CEOs discussed with Salam concerns of TV stations in Lebanon as well as difficulties and challenges they are facing.

For his part, PM Salam vowed to follow up on the dossier of Lebanese TV stations, stressing that he fully understands all the measures and projects they are working on.

On Wednesday (March 19), Lebanese Television stations board of directors held a meeting to discuss means of cooperation between TV networks, which may result in the establishment of a joint package that lays the foundations for mutual cooperation.

The participants discussed the mechanism of a charter that defines the framework of said cooperation. The participants in the meeting agreed on the following:

1- To entrust lawyer Wassim Mansouri’s office with pursuing the protection of intellectual and literary property rights of the stations, and giving said office all powers necessary to pursue civil and penal proceedings upon need.

2- To hold meetings with concerned ministers.

3- To study the joint cooperation charter which lays the foundation for the aforementioned proceedings.

4- To keep their meetings open ended.
