The Lebanese Armed Forces arrested Thursday morning 10 Syrian nationals in the Bekaa region of Majdal Anjar, and seized weapons and ammunition.
This comes in line with a security plan underway since several months in the Bekaa region in a bid to crackdown on criminals in a region known to be a safe haven for car-theft gangs and drug dealers, as well as rings that kidnap in exchange for ransom.
Earlier this week, a new security plan had been launched in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs, conducting motorized patrols and setting up checkpoints to inspect vehicles.
