Lebanese army arrests two men over funding terrorism charges

The Lebanese army announced on Tuesday that an Intelligence Bureau unit arrested two people on suspicion of transferring funds to Lebanon to finance terrorist organizations.

The army's communiqué identified the arrestees as Mahmoud Mohammed Hamze and Mohammed Osama Mehsen.

The two men are accused of transferring money from Islamic Sate members abroad and giving the cash to associations and people related to terrorist organizations.

Investigations were launched with the two men under the concerned authorities.
