Change and Reform bloc MP Hikmat Dib said on Sunday that the photo circulated on social media platforms “is very normal,” adding that he was defending himself against the soldier who was trying to beat him with a stick.
Dib’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that he broke his finger while defending himself that day.
On another note, Dib noted that Abra clashes represent the true sample of the Lebanese army’s work and duties.
He also stressed that the extension of the parliament’s mandate “infringed the Lebanese army’s prestige.”
