Family and friends of George al-Rif staged on Sunday a march from Beirut’s Martyrs Square towards Saifi.
Al-Rif’s wife stressed that the murder of George al-Rif shook the world and represents one of the corruption cases of this country, adding that they will not give up until this community becomes clean from all sorts of “aggressors”.
“The bribery and corruption of the judicial system have become unacceptable; who is this judge who released Tarek Yatim despite his record full of crimes?” she stated.
Last month, George al-Rif died of wounds he sustained in a road rage attack that occurred on the backdrop of a traffic incident between him and another driver, identified as Tarek Yatim, who stabbed the victim repeatedly leaving him in a critical condition before passing away one day later.
