Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil said Sunday that the waste crisis is a major challenge for the government, noting that “it is shameful that a solution has failed to be reached.”
In this context, Hassan Khalil stressed the need that the state “settles this issue and assumes its responsibilities through the implementation of practical executive measures,” pointing out that the situation can no longer bear any procrastination.
“As the winter season draws near, we still have more than 100 thousand tons of garbage piled on the streets,” he stated.
