No settlements reached over military promotions- MP Michel Aoun

Change and Reform bloc Chief MP Michel Aoun reiterated Tuesday that “the security force command would not exist without the army command.”

“Rumor has it that a settlement was reached over military promotions... which is not true,” MP Aoun stated.

Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, the lawmaker said that some parties want national dialogue halted.

Commenting on the waste management crisis, MP Aoun expressed reservations over Minister Chehayyeb’s plan, noting however that said comments do not prevent its implementation.
