“You Stink” campaign accused Monday the politicians of “attempting to fool the people by promoting a plan as being the only solution,” in reference to the plan of Agriculture Minister Akram Chehayeb, stressing that the activists do not have a scheme aimed at destroying the country.
In a press conference, the campaign held the rival parties of March 8 and 14 responsible for the current waste crisis, noting that “change can only be achieved through parliamentary elections representing the Lebanese people instead of political parties and war leaders.”
The campaign stressed that its activists are not affiliated with any specific party and do not follow political ideologies.
Accordingly, the activists called for a peaceful rally on Thursday from Beirut National Museum towards the region of Ain al-Mraysseh, calling on the participants to wear white.
