Judge Karam charges Saudi Prince, companions with smuggling drugs

Judge Claude Karam charged on Monday 10 people, including the arrested Saudi prince and his four companions with smuggling drugs through the Beirut International Airport.

The detainees were all referred to the First Investigating Judge in Mount Lebanon, Jean Ferneini.

Last week, the Inspection Unit at Beirut International Airport arrested the Saudi Prince along with his four companions at Beirut International Airport on charges of possessing and attempting to smuggle almost 2 tons of Captagon pills.

It was described as the biggest smuggling operation ever discovered at Beirut airport.
