Speaking via video feed to a large crowd gathered in the village of Maroun al-Rass in southern Lebanon Friday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that foreign countries, in collaboration with some Lebanese factions, are trying to dismantle the Army-People-Resistance formula.
In regard to Lebanon, Nasrallah spoke on the pervasiveness of foreign influence in politics. The “Former U.S. ambassador to Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman and the French ambassador were leading the Cedar Revolution”, Nasrallah said during Hezbollah’s annual festival on the occasion of al-Quds Day in Maroun al-Rass.
Expressing pride for the progress Lebanon has made in promoting the Palestinian cause Nasrallah added, “Lebanon is no longer the weakest link in the region; therefore naturalization is out of question”.
On Syria Nasrallah said they also “played a key role in preserving the Palestinian cause”, paying tribute to the country that “has always stood with the resistance in both Lebanon and Palestine”.
“We must keep every grain of soil, every drop of water, gas and oil in Palestine and we look forward to the day when an independent Palestinian State, from the Mediterranean to the Jordan, will be established”, he said.
“The latest changes in the Arab region are important for Palestine and the Palestinian cause”, he said calling on the concerned parties to deal with the negative changes in the region with wisdom, reason and logic.
