Judge Saqr charges al-Nusra member with death of Lebanese soldier

State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr charged on Tuesday Ali Ahmad Laqis and five other fugitives with the execution of the Lebanese soldier Mohammad Hamieh, belonging to the al-Nusra Front and manufacturing explosives.

Judge Saqr referred the case to the Military Investigative Judge Riad Abou Ghaida.

The Lebanese Armed Forces Intelligence arrested on Friday (November 27) Ali Ahmad Laqis at Beirut's international airport as he was trying to flee the country, using a fake Syrian passport.

Laqis, who is the suspected killer of LAF martyr Mohammad Hamieh, is affiliated with al-Nusra Front.

This as the investigations disclosed that he is an expert in manufacturing explosives and has links with Abou Malek al-Talli, the so-called emir of al-Nusra in Qalamoun.
