Unveiling of monument dedicated to LAF, people and resistance

Minister of Health Ali Hassan Khalil said on Friday during the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the memory of the Lebanese Army, the people and the resistance at Odeisseh, that demeaning the prestige of the LAF means demeaning the country.

Minister Khalil added that the army should enjoy full confidence and should be granted budgetary funds that suit its needs.

On behalf of General Jean Kahwaji, Major General Walid Salman reiterated the army's promise to protect and liberate the nation adding that a country’s sovereignty is something that cannot be compromised. He also said that Lebanon should be using its full capacity to fight Israel to regain the remainder of its occupied lands.

For his part, Hezbollah MP Ali Fayyad said that the country cannot play a full and active role without the LAF stressing that the “golden triangle” made up of the people army and resistance is the correct formula to follow in the line of defending the country.
