Maneuvers for US army and Arab armies including LAF conducted in Jordan
The Wadi Rum desert located south of the Jordanian capital, Amman, witnessed the Eager Lion 2012 exercise, the largest military maneuver to be held in the Arab region, with the participation of the LAF and 19 Arab and foreign states, mainly the US, France and the UK.

This military exercise, supervised by Jordanian King Abdullah II as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, included firing carried out by warplanes, applications of the effectiveness of counterattacks and firing of live ammunition. The participating armies and units delivered a remarkable performance in hitting targets and the Lebanese army participated through Special Forces, naval forces and military medical care.

These maneuvers were held in the framework of training plans devised by the armies of brotherly and friendly countries to raise the efficiency of officers and focus on quality training to deal with all threats, conduct counter-terrorism operations and manage crises.

Jordan witnessed a clear expression of common interests among participating countries, the goal being helping armies aspire for the better.
