Arida residents block Syria-Lebanon international road

The residents of al-Arida blocked the international road on Thursday morning in solidarity with al-Abboudiya residents after the kidnapping of two Lebanese nationals.

Mohammad Yassin al-Merhebi and Mahdi Hamdan were kidnapped by Syrian forces on Wednesday.
Al-Abboudiya residents as well as activists in Akkar continued their protest on Thursday after they had earlier set up a tent, a few meters away from the border crossing point, amid cross-border tension.
