Beirut's Southern Suburb awaits news of hostages

Amid the families’ silence, an uneasy calm envelops Beirut’s Southern Suburb Sunday as families of the 11 Lebanese hostages await fresh news on their loved ones.

Sources to LBCI stated that reports saying that the Lebanese hostages were in the custody of the Turkish intelligence have since been found to be false.

The sources added that the interest of the Syrian opposition on the case of the abductees has subsided especially since the latter made no comment on the speech given by Hezbolah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Friday.

Nasrallah had urged the abductors not to use the lives of innocent people to settle the score [with him].
