Gemayel proposes law to ban foreign acquisition

MP Sami Gemayel proposed a pressing law to parliament to ban foreign acquisition .The law stipulates halting all document registration pertaining to land sales.

Gemayel suggested long term leases in place of land sales, pointing that latter will resolve the issue of land scaling.

The MP added that the lease may be on a short or long term basis – so long as land ownership remains Lebanese.
Gemayel said that he will perform all necessary calls starting Tuesday to promote this law.
