Sit-in in Beit Al Tabib in solidarity with Dr. Moussa Abou Hamad
Lebanese physicians kicked off a sit-in in Beit Al Tabib in Beirut on Monday afternoon in solidarity with Dr. Moussa Abou Hamad who was subject to pretrial detention two weeks ago.

This sit-in was called for by the Doctors’ syndicates in Tripoli and Beirut.

Abou Hamad was detained to be questioned for the death of Rita Zugheib and her unborn child.

In this context, the Doctors Syndicate chief, Sharaf Abou Sharaf, confirmed the syndicate's support of the Lebanese Judiciary "despite its unfair decision".

"The Doctors Syndicate is the only party entitled to investigate into medical work", he stressed.

Later on, protestors headed to the Ministry of Justice where they met with Justice Minister Chakib Kortbawi , calling on him to release the arrested physician.
