Sudanese refugees carry on strike until demands are met

A number of Sudanese refugees continue with their hunger strike and their sit-in outside the High Commissioner for Refugees’ building. They began their strike seventeen days ago and they are willing to carry on until their demands are met. They care calling for resettlement in foreign countries and reopening their files closed by the commissioner.

In this context, the commissioner informed civil organizations, during a meeting held on Wednesday morning that “the solution is not in its hand”.

The refugees stress that they will not end their sit-in and hunger strike until their demands are met.
