EDL contract workers continue their movement until their demands are met
A delegation of EDL contract workers met with MP Mohammad Qabbani Thursday in Parliament in hopes of reaching a decision regarding their salaries. This as other workers continued their protest at the headquarters in Corniche el-Nahr. Meanwhile, a tone of optimism prevailed as pay scales were submitted to contracting companies.

Protestors reopened the entrances of the building after closing them for several minutes in the morning.

Contract workers are waiting for the outcome of the Parliament office committee’s meeting that is expected to be held in the afternoon today under the chairmanship of House Speaker Nabih Berri. The latter reassured them that things will go back to normal and that the decision is in the hands of President Michel Sleiman.
