Wahhab on STL: Let Mikati fund it from his own pocket

The head of the Tawhid Movement in Lebanon Wiam Wahhab said that the cabinet will not approve funding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

“The tribunal is now behind us, if PM Mikati wants to fund the STL, let him do so from his own pocket”, Wahab said after meeting the head of Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Aoun

“We are not afraid of the international community nor of its sanctions; we live in a democratic country and we will leave this issue to the cabinet to vote on”.

Wahhab expressed his party’s approval on the proportional representation electoral law since it is the only law to guarantee a proper religious representation and end the reign of “financial whales” and their money politics over the parliamentary elections.

Asked on the Syrian situation Wahhab said that “NATO battleships” will not come to Syria, stressing that Assad’s regime has overcome the conspiracy.
