EDL hunger strike enters third day

EDL hunger strike enters third day

EDL contract workers are still adamant about their sit-in which has entered on Wednesday its third day. The sit-in was staged in the EDL costumer lounge where the protesters cling on to their strike.

Despite Interior Minister Marwan Charbel’s demand to remove the sit-in tent set up inside the lounge, the protesters confirmed that the tent "will not be removed unless their demands are met".

In this context, the situation of the hunger strikers has worsened as one fainting case has been reported so far.
