Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai asserted on Sunday that the reconciliation in the Mountain is a "treasure and above all other considerations," adding that peace in the Mountain region is the base for peace in all Lebanon.
Rai’s comments were made during his Sunday’s sermon whereby he lamented the suspension of Cabinet session following the Aley incident.
"We are witnessing today political tensions due to the incident in Qabrshmoun that disrupted the Cabinet’s sessions, while the social, economic and financial conditions are worsening, the deficit is growing, and people's poverty is increasing.
