Will MEA remain the exclusive carrier in Lebanon?
The Ministry of Transport placed the request to extend MEA’s exclusivity on the agenda of the Cabinet to take place on Thursday. By decree, the renewal covers a period of 20 years.

By the rule of exclusivity, no other local company can compete with MEA.

MEA’s fleet is comprised of seventeen Airbus carriers, with a tendency to buy new planes.

Since the intervention of the Bank of Lebanon to save the company from debt in 97, MEA rebounded as of 2002 with a profit,  dropping and rising according to political and economic developments.
