President Michel Aoun declared Monday that the economic and financial conditions require from all the parties to rise above their political and personal differences and to refrain from turning a difference in opinions into a conflict at the expense of the nation’s higher interest.
In a statement he read at the beginning of the economic dialogue table held in Baabda palace, Aoun stressed that “everyone is responsible for the rights of the Lebanese people, their future and their security, this is we must to unite the efforts in order to reach solutions for the economic crisis that has been choking the people.”
“Today’s meeting aims at looking for executive formulas for the financial and economic meeting held in Baabda on August 9 and at finding a series of measures that lead to improvement, while ruling out any deterioration that could destabilize the economic and social situation in the country,” he explained
