JBT issues new statement, says coordinating with BDL to overcome crisis

Jammal Trust Bank asserted on Tuesday that the statements of Banque Du Liban Governor Riyad Salameh, saying that all deposits are secured at their maturity dates.

The bank also stressed its commitment to all banking regulations issued by the BDL, denying all allegations attributed to it.

JBT also noted that it is coordinating continuously with the BDL “to overcome the current crisis.”

The bank concluded by saying that it will open its doors exceptionally from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Later in the day, BDL Governor Riyad Salameh issued a statement in which he asserted that he is following up on the developments related to the JBT dossier.

He also clarified that all legal deposits are secured at their maturity dates as he previously announced.

Salameh concluded by reassuring the smooth conduct of affairs.
