Security concerns snip Aoun’s visit to West Bekaa

Al-Akhbar daily reported on Tuesday that Change and Reform Bloc Leader MP Michel Aoun has cancelled his Saturday visit to West Bekaa.

Aoun was set to visit the region to assess the situation there in person as well as calling at some of the region’s villages. One of the trip organizers told the daily that security sources advised Aoun to cancel his visit for security reasons, considering an alarming string of violent incidents that have occurred in the region recently.
