Kahwaji: No political party can extort the army

Army commander General Jean Kahwaji emphasized that the army will not allow any political party to "shake it down".

He also pointed out that the army will not remain silent after being targeted or insulted by any side.

In a gathering for retirees in the army at al-Yarzeh, Kahwaji assured that the military institution insists on its approach in holding responsibility of the Lebanese and non-Lebanese living in the country without recklessness or compliance to the desires of others.
