US ambassador to LBCI: Ceasefire agreed between Lebanon and Israel, calls to curb violations

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa said a ceasefire has been agreed between Lebanon and Israel, but acknowledged that violations remain difficult to prevent.

In remarks to LBCI, Issa said both sides have been asked to halt breaches of the ceasefire agreement, expressing hope that they would comply.

He also noted that U.S. President Donald Trump had urged Israel not to target civilians and journalists.
