A number of protesters staged on Sunday a sit-in outside the US embassy in Awkar, rejecting the US meddling in Lebanon’s affairs.
The sit-in comes after the statements of US diplomat Jeffrey Feltman about Lebanon, and as a sign of rejection to the US role in deepening Lebanon’s economic crisis.
This as the protest was held amid tight security measures and heavy deployment of the Lebanese army.
