Mikati forwards a message to the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Lebanese Ambassador to Syria, Michel Khoury, met on Monday with MP Najib Mikati in the Grand Serail.

Mikati asked the ambassador to forward an urgent message to the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and inform it that the shelling of Lebanese border towns continues.

The Prime Minister said in his message that the violation of the Lebanese territories could create negative repercussions on the security measures taken by the LAF to maintain the stability on the Syrian-Lebanese borders. "It is the Lebanese government's duty to protect Lebanese residents across Lebanon from any harm", Mikati added.
