Foreign Affairs Minister Hitti summons US ambassador Shea

Sources told LBCI on Sunday tgat Minister of Foreign Affairs Nassif Hitti summoned US ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea and will meet her on Monday at 3:00 PM.

The same sources added that Hitti will inform Shea that according to Vienna Convention, no ambassador has the right to interfere in the internal affairs of any country,

He will also inform her that her statements to the Lebanese people must not include incitement against another part of the Lebanese population that is represented in the authorities.

This as later in the day, Hitti confirmed to LBCI that he summoned Shea tomorrow, denying that he made any statements about what he will be informing her on Monday.
