Nahhas to LBCI: government seeking funding for the ranks and salaries series

The Minister of Economy Nicolas Nahhas mentioned that the government is seeking the best way to fund the series of ranks and salaries pointing that the government is aware of its choices regarding the pay-scale issue.

In a talk with LBCI's Nharkom Said, Nahhas said that the government has set a social balance adding that the draft of the series was at first a proposal.      He hoped that the draft would be referred to parliament soon for ratification.

Regarding discussions on socioeconomic challenges facing the country, Nahhas said that dialogue helps in determining strategies and basic economic schemes for the coming years.

He also called for internal agreements to "get the economy out of the way of political polarization" and asked for organizing Beirut 1 similar to Paris 1 to tackle these issues.
