Contract teachers stage protest, warn of escalation

The contact teachers committee at the Lebanese University [LU] staged a sit-in at the Riad Solh Square on Tuesday, declaring that they would strike again from the 8th till the 10th of October should their demands for full time tenure not be considered.

A representative delegation then moved to the Grand Serail where they met with Prime Minister Najib Mikati on the behalf of the committee to relay their demands.
