Ghanem to LBCI: Protection of Christians does not depend on number of MPs

MP Robert Ghanem said on Wednesday that the "protection of Christians does not depend on the number of MPs, since lawmakers represent the entire nation."

“All the draft election laws that do not uphold the verdicts of the Taif agreement are in vain”, Ghanem said adding that the most suitable solution would be looking into a "perfect law at Parliament, to be implemented as of 2017 in the presence of decentralization and expatriate voting."

Ghanem told Nharkom Said that the Parliament will not be able to reach a fair electoral law 7 months prior to the election date.
