Mikati meets with Turkish ambassador to Lebanon

Turkish ambassador to Lebanon Inan Auzildise met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Thursday at the Grand Serail whereby he briefed the former on the latest updates regarding the case of the remaining Lebanese detainees in Syria.

Auzildise reiterated that the file remains under constant surveillance, although no new information is available on the status of the hostages.

Eleven Lebanese pilgrims were kidnapped on their way back from Iran by insurgents hoping to use them for a prisoner swap on the 20th of May. Only two have been released so far.

Mikati also met with Lebanese Armed Forces commander Jean Kahwaji whereby both discussed the latest security updates.
