Patriarch Rai delivers his Christmas sermon

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai delivered on Friday his Christmas sermon from Bkerke.

During his sermon, Rai said that the distribution of ministerial portfolios during the Cabinet formation process is important, stressing however that the people is more important.

“We were expecting that the fight against corruption would enhance our national unity but we were surprised that it shook it,” he added.

“We were expecting that officials would rush to form a Cabinet that would be up to the challenges but we were surprised by setting conditions and counter-conditions and linking the formation process to the conflicts of the region and the world,” Rai went on by saying.
